Louise Helton is Co-Founder and Vice President of 1 Sun Solar Electric which is one of the oldest solar energy companies in Nevada specializing in residential, and commercial solar installations since 2007. A former Mrs. Nevada, Ms. Helton has received numerous local and national awards for her work including recognition from the United States Green Building Council and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Ms. Helton has chaired the Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee of the Nevada chapter of the U.S.G.B.C, is a member and past president of the Junior League of Las Vegas and a long-time community advocate.

 

Ms. Helton is responsible for many industry and community-based legislative programs and initiatives including work to save net metering, the Green Bank Initiative, PACE program, Centennial License Plate and Celebration, as well as water fluoridation. She currently serves on the City of Las Vegas Centennial Commission, the State Displaced Homemaker Board and the United Way Volunteer Council.
