Community-led plan will help County reach Net Zero 2050

With a big thank you to everyone who participated in the public process of building this plan, we invite you to review Washoe County’s Draft Climate Action Plan (CAP). This plan supports the County’s commitment to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) by 2050. The actions in the plan are designed to improve air quality, help the County and its residents save money on energy and transportation, and to build resilience in the face of extreme weather events.

The Sustainability Program plans to present the CAP to the Washoe County Commission in early 2025 for their consideration and approval. We want to be sure to incorporate your feedback. The link below will take you to the draft CAP and feedback link.
